El Dorado County has grant money to spend, and they're gonna spend it working on the trail. Their plan is to hire work crews to do trail armoring, dig catch basins, build water bars, and help prevent sediment from leaving the trail.

El Dorado LAFCO seeks Bids on an electronic document management and retrieval system
The El Dorado Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to design and implement an electronic document management and retrieval system. It is preferable that the proposed document management system incorporates and utilizes the work already performed, it is not a precondition for consideration nor should it dissuade a qualified firm from responding to this RFP.

Keith Berry and I joined the Folsom, El Dorado and Sacramento Historical Railroad Association during a maintenance-of-way excursion on the old Southern Pacific Placerville Branch on Saturday, May 8, 2010. After putting two hi-rail trucks on the tracks near the Mother Lode Drive grade crossing, we headed east to inspect the line and note areas of excessive vegetation growth.
