Reporting a mountain lion in our area. I am unable to contact fish and game directly and have tried to do so many times over the past week.We live at 627x Red Robin Rd.in Placerville.There have many many sightings of this mountain lion over the past week or so, it is huge and is estimated to be well over 300 pounds.The mountain lion is also creating a disturbance with its screeching all night long every night.

We have lived here for over ten years and are aware that  there are mountain lions near us but nothing like this.We have children as do other neighbors as well as pets and livestock.I believe this problem has been created by

The 18th annual free Community Christmas Dinner will be held at the Pollock Pines-Camino Community Center from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17. This will be a traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings, fresh salads and vegetables, and an assortment of desserts to top off the dining experience.

The dinner is sponsored by the Pollock Pines-Camino Community Center Association.

Thanks to the collaboration of two California politicians and the generosity of an area utility company, many of El Dorado County’s less fortunate will be able to gather around a turkey dinner this holiday season.

On Aug. 18 Machado was arrested on criminal charges of perjury and conspiracy to commit a crime with regard to real estate. On Aug 23 the Placerville City Council voted unanimously to remove Machado as mayor of Placerville and to request that he take a leave of absence from his position on the City Council.
