Chamber of Commerce to hold Holiday Gala on Thursday In keeping with local tradition, the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its annual Holiday Gala from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The event will be hosted by and take place at Riva Grill at Ski Run Marina. Area Transit Management will donate a shuttle bus for the evening to collect donations. Guests are asked to bring a donated, unwrapped toy to be given to the South Lake Tahoe Women's Center and/or wrapping paper, ribbon and bows. These donations will be provided to local families to help them enjoy a brighter holiday season. Cash donations will be accepted at the door to assist Christmas Cheer in providing holiday food for their many local clients. In addition, the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce celebrated its one-year anniversary Nov. 1. A special anniversary cake will be displayed, cut and served to guests after the holiday feast, specially prepared by Riva Grill chefs. The community is invited to come by and "Stuff the Bus" and help others during the holiday season. All chamber members will be admitted free of charge. Nonmembers are welcome and are asked to donate $10 to be given to the Christmas Cheer fund.
