The way communities are built shapes the health and vitality of the people who live there.
Decisions made about the design of communities - from the mixture of land uses to the options for transportation - all have long-term impacts on the risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, asthma, and injuries.
- What are the best practices for creating built environments that promote health?
- How can we work together to ensure that future
development provides safe
options for walking and biking, access to nutritious foods and improved air quality?
