A community meeting to discuss transportation plans for the Placerville Drive corridor will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the El Dorado High School main gym, 561 Canal St., Placerville. The commission is working with the city of Placerville and the Placerville Drive Business Association to improve traffic and pedestrian safety along the largely commercial corridor. Commission staff members will give a presentation from 6 to 7 p.m. Several information stations also will be available, and the public will have an opportunity to discuss options and offer opinions.
