District II Supervisor Ray Nutting will be hosting a Town Hall meeting on Redistricting

Via Vicki Yorty

Our residents need to know that the decision that the BOS makes will be with us for the next 10 years. I was deeply involved in Census 2000 as I was the Administrator for 8 Sierra foothill counties. The meeting on the 28th is very important and just step number one in the public input process. We will have the proposed maps upon which the BOS will make their decision at this meeting. Your help in getting the word out it greatly appreciated....Thank You in advance!

"Your District II Supervisor Ray Nutting will be hosting a Town Hall meeting on 4/28/2011, as an initial discussion on Redistricting and Reapportionment of our County's population based upon the results of Census 2010.

EDC Un-Funded Pension Liability Increased $172 Million in One Year!

California counties are getting a shocking Christmas gift from the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) in the form of an updated actuarial report for the retirement system. Of course, pension liabilities are soaring, which will further stress county budgets. In the small county where I reside (El Dorado County), the unfunded pension liability has increased $172 million in one year, to approximately $264 million. Those are big numbers in a mostly rural county.
