The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting at 1 p.m. Monday to review maps for potential use in identifying areas appropriate for oak woodland conservation easements. The board agreed last week that the relative importance of oak woodlands would not be determined by the oak management plan alone but would be evaluated along with other types of habitat as part of an integrated natural resources management plan, which also is being developed. The Development Services Department has been working with a coalition representing development, real estate and agricultural interests to come to a consensus on maps identifying expanses of oak woodlands that would be suitable for purchase as conservation easements to offset tree losses elsewhere. Monday's meeting will be held in the board meeting room, 330 Fair Lane, Building A, Placerville. -- Cathy Locke
