EL DORADO HILLS, Feb. 20, 2008 - El Dorado County Supervisor candidate and local business owner Harry Norris has been endorsed by El Dorado Hills Community Services District board member Tony Rogozinski, library advocate Betty January, community leader Buzz Nunn, and El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) board members John Fraser, Bill George, George Osborne and George Wheeldon.

"Harry Norris understands our local needs and cherishes what we value as a community," said Rogozinski. "Harry's track record and strong desire for getting things done in both public service and business sets him apart. His accomplishments and mutual respect earned over the years are impressive. We need Harry's leadership on the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors."

Norris has spent decades tackling challenges and delivering solutions that endure. He currently serves on the El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) Board of Directors, which he was elected to in 2003 and led as president in 2006. He is credited for helping make reforms that have improved water quality, and enhanced customer service and operating efficiencies, saving rate payers millions of dollars.

About Harry Norris
Local resident and business owner Harry Norris is a candidate for El Dorado County Supervisor, District 1. Founder/owner of El Dorado Hills 76, Norris is widely respected among business and community leaders. He serves on the El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) Board of Directors, where he is credited for helping make reforms that have saved rate payers millions of dollars. Norris served on the El Dorado County Board of Education from 1994 to 2004, and received the Spirit of Boardsmanship award from the El Dorado County School Boards Association. Additional accolades have included Citizen of the Year by the El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce and Small Business of the Year by the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce. Norris served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970, and was awarded two Bronze Stars for service in combat. A widower, he was married to Jan for 38 years. Their son, Brian, and his family live in Lakewood, Calif.
