El Dorado County is a place known for its agrarian roots, but one Pilot Hill man apparently takes farming a little more seriously than most, according to a recent El Dorado County Sheriff's report.
On July 8 at 11:32 p.m., deputies said responded to a disturbing the peace call in the 4800 block of Pine Tree Court in Pilot Hill.
There, a man complained his neighbor had been using his tractor in the middle of the night for the past several weeks, the report said. The night before, the man aid his neighbor had been on the tractor for 45 minutes - starting at 3 a.m.
Deputies contacted the neighbor, who police are not identifying, who said it was too hot to use the tractor during the day, the report said. After a little reasoning by the deputies, the man admitted it probably wasn't the best idea and that he'd keep the tractor use confined to daylight hours, the report said.
In the report, the deputy noted that he'd received numerous complaints about loud unreasonable noise coming from that address. In the past, the deputy said he'd responded to calls about firearms being shot at the property, quad riding during the night and yelling.
