The Lake Tahoe Airport will host a mountain flying clinic from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 24 at the City Council Chambers. The clinic will be presented by Bill Schroeder, FAA master certified flight instructor, FAASTeam Lead Representative and Civil Air Patrol check pilot examiner and supported by the FAA Reno Flight Standards District Office.

The class will cover aspects of mountain flying unique to the Lake Tahoe Airport and various high altitude airports around the country. Pilots who participate in the class will receive a certificate of participation that counts as FAA Wings Safety Program participation points and will take away valuable information about mountain flying.
