A Meyers community get-together to benefit all the friends and neighbors who lost their homes in the Angora fire will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 9 at Meyers Downtown Café, 3200 Highway 50 in Meyers. The event will include a free barbecue and beverages as well as live music.

This is a group effort of all the Meyers Community restaurants and businesses for the community. Look for the red buckets at all Meyers businesses and give generously.

Cash may be donated and organizers will get gift cards for fire victims to use at local merchants for any items they need. Every penny collected will go back to the community. Call (530) 308-5265 or (530) 573-0228.
