Lake Tahoe Weekend Through a Busy Week

This last weekend, I went on a vacation to Lake Tahoe. It was great seeing my cousins who I never see anymore. One’s moved down to southern California, and the other is going to college. It was a sweet place we stayed at. It was a cabin house in a gated community about a mile from the casinos. It has wireless internet, a private beach, and so much more. It was awesome. It was nice to just relax and take a few deep breaths of fresh Tahoe air before descending into the congested depressing abyss they call San Francisco. School was great this week, though. Today we had a location sound lecture and lab. It was fun. I learned how to get clear, high quality sound from a lav mic every time. That’ll help in the future, for sure.

THESIS FILM NEWS>> My thesis film is a music video for The Reel favicon. It’s for their song “Come Alive.” I’d like to film in San Francisco, but permit fees are $300 per day. In Placerville, however, there are no permit fees. So I think we might film up there. I’m talking to the film commissioner for El Dorado County tomorrow to get details worked out. I’m getting excited. It’s getting really close.

BUSINESS >> My friend Dave favicon and I are still working on our business. We just bought an HD camera, audio recording unit, and mics. We’re going to start making demo videos and test projects soon so we can “woo” perspective clients. Need a video or commercial made? Shoot me an email! We’d love to help you out!

WORDS OF WISDOM: Nothing comes free. You must work hard to achieve your goals.

As always, have a fantastic day!
