Well, there are more fires burning around the Northern California area, but that didn't slow down the travel up the hill towards Tahoe. The Tahoe fires are completely out and it is safe to return to the area. There may be some closed parks. So you may want to contact the Tahoe National Forestry Service for more informaiton.

There was more than typical Friday Holiday weekend traffic throu Placerville. It was EXTRA heavy. I hope everyone got to where they were going safely. The Lights through Placerville on Highway 50 East can be brutal when it is this hot and that many cars.

With the 4th in the middle of the week, it looks like everyone decided to take off After the holiday. This weekend looks particularly heavy with weddings in the wine country areas and orchards. As a local, I know the Apple Hill orchards will be a bustle with the crafts being sold along with fresh picked fruit and veggies. There are tour buses you can take from the city that will drop you at different orchards depending on the season and what is being picked. If you look up the Farm Growers of El Dorado I am sure they can direct you in the right place.

Other than that, we have nothing else to report, my foot is doing ok. THe surgery went well. I'll post some photos of that soon. It is pretty gross.
