El Dorado County residents will have an opportunity to fight hunger locally by participating in a three-mile walk Saturday.
The Walk for Hunger through the El Dorado Town Center will benefit the Food Bank of El Dorado County.
Check-in for the Saturday event will begin at 7 a.m., and the walk will start at 8:30. Start: 4:30 pm

AARP will offer an eight-hour refresher course from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday at the Cameron Park Library, 2500 Country Club Drive. "Foothill Country Bazaar" is the theme for the Shingle Springs Christian Women's Connection lunch set for noon Tuesday at the Sequoia Empire Ballroom, 643 Bee St., Placerville.
