The Lake Tahoe Airport will host a mountain flying clinic from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 24 at the City Council Chambers. The clinic will be presented by Bill Schroeder, FAA master certified flight instructor, FAASTeam Lead Representative and Civil Air Patrol check pilot examiner and supported by the FAA Reno Flight Standards District Office.

The award-winning Tahoe Dance Band invites everyone to a "Beach Party Dance" from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Tahoe Dance Band was named "Best Band" out of 11 bands who competed at the 13th annual Taste of Downtown in Carson City.
