A custom-designed childbirth class for those who do not have the time for the traditional 6-week class format. This condensed version of our class series prepares mom and her support person for birth. Bring your lunch for the short break. Snacks provided.

American Legion Post 795 will celebrate Labor Day from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Legion Hall, 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd. The public is welcome.
The Lake Tahoe Wedding and Honeymoon Association will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Inn Suites just behind the Heavenly Village area. The association comprises many business owners who offer services to wedding parties.

The Water: We’ll meet at the All-Outdoors River Center in Lotus and raft the class III Lower section of the South Fork of the American River. The Wine: After the rafting trip we’ll reconvene in Lotus (shuttles included in trip price) where you’ll taste a flight of Boeger Winery’s renown wines.
Visit gorgeous Lake Tahoe and enjoy sipping fine wines and browsing fine art underneath the peaks of Squaw Valley. The Art Bark Fest was created to combine the love of art & wine with the love of animals and is one of the only animal themed fine arts and wine festival in the country. The Sacramento Placerville Transit Corridor Joint Powers Authority has board meetings four times a year that are open to the public. This is a great place to find out what is happening with the SPTC and what plans are being made for the future.
The SPTC-JPA's next board meeting will be held on
California’s water year 2006-07 ended on a particularly dry note and there is the possibility of another dry year or potential supply interruptions next year. Thus, the California Department of Water Resources, California Urban Water Conservation Council and U.S. Bureau of Reclamation are sponsoring workshops to assist urban water suppliers to review and update their Water Shortage Contingency Plans and prepare to implement them, if necessary. At each workshop, guest speakers will share
