Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care, Inc., will open its doors to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday with its annual open house.
This is the one time of the year that the public is permitted on the grounds where wild birds and animals are rehabilitated, on their way to release back to the wild.

The Department of Water Resources, in cooperation with other State agencies, is holding a regional public workshop to gather and share information about the California Water Plan Update 2009. The workshop will be held in El Dorado Hills on August 10, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including a working lunch. The Mountain Counties Water Resources Association and the Sierra Nevada Conservancy will be hosting this workshop at the El Dorado Hills Fire Department Administration office located at 1050 Wilson Blvd, about 1 mile north of US-50 on El Dorado Hills Blvd.
