The El Dorado County Transportation Commission will receive a presentation today on efforts to increase transit ridership and to promote carpools and alternative transportation options.
The commission has worked with the 50 Corridor Transportation Management Association to increase membership in the regional commuter club database to develop "vanpools" at local businesses and to create the Smart Routes to School Program for local schools.
