El Dorado Hills residents are invited to the first Community Connection meeting, organized by the El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce, at 7:30 a.m. April 24 at Holiday Inn Express in the El Dorado Hills Town Center, according to a press release.
Former Congressman Doug Ose and Sen. Tom McClintock, R-Thousand Oaks, have been invited to speak. Both are candidates to replace John Doolittle in the 4th Congressional District, which includes El Dorado County. Following their presentation, there will be an open forum question-and-answer period, the release said.
The breakfast meeting is scheduled to accommodate working residents and business owners, said Debbie Manning, chamber president and CEO.
"The chamber wants to go beyond the business community and serve as the conduit to inform and educate both businesses and the community at large," Manning said.
The Community Connection Forum is the most recent chamber-driven program offered to the El Dorado Hills area, Manning said. A full-color directory is mailed to every home, business and 600-plus membership annually, she said.
Sponsored by Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, the meeting includes breakfast. The cost is $15. For reservations, call (916) 933-1335, ext. 1, by Monday.
