Participants will enjoy high tea "Valhalla style" as well as "bootleg champagne." The menu will include canapés, finger sandwiches and assorted fresh fruits and a variety of scrumptious sweet treats.

The Gatsby Tea is part of the Great Gatsby Festival scheduled Aug. 11 and 12 throughout the Tallac Historic Site. The festival will include a display of vintage cars, vendors of period products, games for children, strolling musicians and food booths.

The Gatsby Tea is sponsored by the Tahoe Heritage Foundation, whose mission is to help preserve the cultural heritage and natural history resources of the lake Tahoe Basin through restoration, interpretation and education. Proceeds from the tea will help support THF projects.
